Osaka-Kyoto-Osaka: Day 1- Arrival (Namba Dotonbori Shinsaibashi Nishiumeda)

DAY 1 OSAKA , JAPAN

12 DECEMBER 2014 FRIDAY

Flight from BUSAN, South Korea TO KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Osaka, Japan

Was scheduled to depart at 4.00PM and arrive at 5.20PM

However, we departed near 5.00PM and arrived near to 7.00PM

Our total Return flight ticket for 2 adult and one child cost around 500kW ≈ RM 1500

Price could be as cheap as RM 200 per person one way (in total), if you pick the right date.

From KANSAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Osaka, Japan

We took the airport limosine bus http://www.okkbus.co.jp/en/timetable/kix/t_osa.html

Return ticket 2760y per adult, child under 7? is foc.

We leave the Terminal 2 at 7.10pm and alighted at Herbis Osaka Hotel at 8.30pm

Walked about 10-15 mins to our hotel, Hotel Elsereine Osaka http://htl-el-osaka.com/

Perform our prayers first, feed sofia and take a shower

1. Dotonbori

9pm We took a subway from nishiumeda station to namba (yodabashi line) cost us 240y one way per person.

From namba station we walked to Dotonbori street based on downloaded Osaka map of Trip Advisor.

Some of features spotted in Dotonbori are

1.  Billboard of Glico Running man
2.  The river
3.  Little Osaka
4.  Sushi Zanmai

We dine in one of the takoyaki restaurants. 12 pcs of takoyaki cost 960y and one drink is about 300y

Total cost for dinner (4 person) = 3700y

By that time was already about 1130pm. The subway we understood ended at 11.00pm. 

But we might be wrong..

So we choose to walk from Dotonbori back to our hotel in the freezing cold night.

We walked along the shinsaibashi street but the shops are already closed by that time.

Reached our hotel by 1230pm.

Pictures are not available since i just broke my phone into pieces by carelessly putting it on the front windscreen of the car and it falls on the road..rolled over by only Allah knows how may cars.. and the sd card seem no where to be found :(
