Be that man

Alhamdulillah.. Hari ni Anis Sofia genap 1 tahun. My little princess is now more talkative than ever.. nanana.ne ne.papa.. mama.. tatata.. and few more other sounds.of which sometimes drive me nuts when they seem never ending.. but she is just too adorable anyway. i hope that she will grow and become a person full of love, gratitude and kindness in herself.

And today, my husband shared a story of one of his friends. I bet in the IT world generation today or shall we say the Y-generation, it is hard for us to find a friend who actually comes from a poor family. I myself barely knew anyone so poor and had gone through hardship during the old days (childhood). But yes, my parents might have their friends who's background not so well but now turn up to be 'somebody'. But there might be those who failed or still stuck in that hardship around us today but we are too blind too see them.

So to begin with, my husband friend is the first son in his family. he was the second in his five siblings. During his childhood, his father was working in a farm belong to someone else. They didn't have their own house and was living in the hut at the farm. He wore only 1 pair of shoes and 1 pair of socks to school for years. and when the shoes was torn and the socks had loose it is was amended and tied with rubber band in every way imaginable. There was no 'new' stuff in his dictionary at that moment. And time pass, the government somehow grant his father a land where he built their house. It was a small square house where there was no wall dividing the kitchen or living room, since there was no room at all. His father then manage to upgrade himself a little bit and bought a 'kancil', the cheapest Perodua car ever existed in Malaysia. They were doing quite okay by then until his elder sister got an offer to study in Jordan under a scholarship. But they have to bear the first two semesters by themselves first. the sister was very excited for this offer and insisted to go. The loving father sold his cars, jewellery and everything that is worth a penny to ensure that his daughter get a good education. On the way to send the application form, they were riding a bike and it rained heavily that the documents were drenched.. the father go to a shop and buy a drink while trying to dry the documents under the shop fridge but the documents are still wet. They went to the laundry and iron the documents to make it drier and straighten again. Then the documents are finally sent. And her sister got to study in Jordan.

My husband's friend was offered to further his degree and master in UK after he completed his diploma in civil. However, he turned down the offer knowing how hard it was for the family to live after his sister went to Jordan. he did not want to burden his family and decide to find a job. he went jobless for 6 months but after a while he heard on a HSE course attended it and somehow got funded for the diploma in HSE. he then got a job his first salary was 4k+ and he gave it all to his parents first.

Moral of the story:
1. Love your parents. They should be your priority before anyone else.
2. Be motivated and be patient, If Allah wants to give something good to us, no one can stop it from happening.
3. Be gratitute that we don't have to go through hardship to have a good living, do no.t complaint
4. Be kind to people, if they turn up handing you messy documents or they themselves turn up messy, there must be a reason
5. Be a man, work towards what you believe in. Even if you do not have anything to give, go and find something to give.

Saya dah mengantuk. Hope this give inspirations to those who read it. :)

Gua Niah!

What a day! Baru lepas sapu minyak panas kat kaki ni..rasa nak tercabut kaki pergi Gua Niah tadi..haha. honestly i'm so lucky to have my husband..y kuat berjalan ni.. as much as i complaint about the troublesome n struggles tht we had to face, ( i mean just imagine, i'm bringing my 10months old baby inside a cave! Gilo ko apo? Dengan gelap tiba2 mcm nk hujan ribut.. jalan jauh 3km..Layan je la..), as that much jugaklah i had a great time..hehe
Anyway..here is some guidelines for those who wish to visit the Great Niah Cave..
1. Plan & Prepare for your trip -you're going inside a cave! Gua dalam hutan kot.. Ingat apa ha? Pergi shopping mall?
Honestly, we didn't really prepare..but at least we did bring a pair of extra clothing each, sport shoes, buggy stroller and food for sofia, 1 big mineral water and thts all. But we did see other visitors who had to walk in slippers..which some parts of the passage/walkboard was slippery and felt very pity on them. And yup..it might be raining..and it's dark inside the cave. So bring along an umbrella perhaps (unless u dont mind being wet a little bit) at least it could be your walking stick, haha.. and a torch light would be essential if you're planning to go deeper inside the cave (or you could just rent one for 5rm at the entrance.)
2. Try your best not to bring children.. unless u have strollers or buggy or if you are strong enough to carry them if they're tired for about 1 hour, back and forth..
and if you do bring them, try to prepare things so tht they would be comfortable, otherwise..it might be a downside for your trip when they start to throw their tantrums.. ;)
3. Make yourselves free for the whole day..unless you are fit and used to walkathon..at the end of the day you would be flat on your bed early for a long deep sleep. Haha. Penat..
4. Makan! Ha..we're quite unlucky today as the canteen at Gua Niah tutup..gila penat lapar bagai..the only canteen there boleh tutup..? So terpaksa la kitorg balik..cari makan..lalu jalan dalam ke bintulu ada kedai makan..apa nama tempat tu..lupa dah..jauh jugak..ada 10-15min drive bru sampai..
Tu je la kot.hope this will help those y nak pergi visit Gua Niah ni in the future.
Btw, there's no guide..u need to walk by yourself to the cave. At the registration counter they will give you the map a off you go~! Enjoy ur walk!

The Beginning

Hi. I've made this blog for quite a while ago..but this is my first attempt on putting things 'up'..

I intended this blog to be some kind of reference and inspiration especially for myself or maybe my lovely daughter, Anis Sofia, in the near future.

It'll be only about:
1. Happy moments
2. Recipes
3. Inspirations
4. Dreams, Desire and Plans
5. Solved Puzzles or Issues

I hope I could stick to these five things instead of writing about the unnecessary things..haha. Hopefully.

So here's the beginning of..
BLOGGING!
(It's never too late..hahaha)
